The RAS Report - December 2010

Wow, where has the time gone?? I don’t know about you, but to me it feels like 2010 just started. Like John Lennon sings in my favourite holiday song… “So this is Christmas, and what have you done? Another year over and a new one just begun…” Whenever I hear those words, it makes me think about all that’s happened, and all that’s yet to come.

It also makes me think about the many wonderful clients that kept me busy this year – to you I say THANK YOU for choosing RAS Creative! Thanks also to my media friends here in Manitoba and across Canada, for writing and talking about RAS Creative clients. I wish you all a wonderful holiday season, and best wishes for 2011!

The feature film Amreeka, co-produced by Winnipeg’s Buffalo Gal Pictures, was chosen for the Sundance Institute’s inaugural ‘film forward’ project. Only ten films worldwide were chosen to be part of this ambitious project, which saw the films presented to audiences in New York and Tunisia. www.amreeka.com

The popular preschool series Tiga Talk! will ring in the New Year with the premiere of its third season, a brand new interactive website, and iPhone application. Congratulations to Winnipeg Rowing Club member Kaitlin Rempel, this year’s recipient of the Peter Nykoluk Rowing Scholarship. Kaitlin rocked the rowing world this past year –her very first year of rowing. She rowed a single, double, quad, and eight, with racing results consisting of six first place finishes and four second place finishes. Remarkable and inspiring! www.winnipegrowingclub.com
