Live music listings for the Aboriginal festival season in Winnipeg

The week of October 28 to November 7 is going to be a busy one for the Aboriginal Music Community. With more than 20 events going on throughout the week there will plenty to take in. Although the Annual Manito Ahbee Festival and the 2nd Annual Aboriginal Music Week run in sync with one another, they are separate festivals, allowing the public to take in dozens of local and national aboriginal artists and dancers.

The week’s events for both festivals as well as others, will be taking place at a number of venues throughout the city of Winnipeg. Desiree Dorion’s CD Release Party at the Park Theater begins the week of festivities, and Métis Jamboree Presented by Travel Manitoba at the Skyview Ballroom that kicks off Aboriginal Music week on October 29.
