Manitoba Music is partnering with the Coup de Coeur Francophone (CCF) for a spotlight on Francophone music from Western Canada this month. Rame à la rencontre, Manitoba Music’s incubator-style project through its long-running Francophone Music Program, moves online this year for a virtual showcase.

This edition’s participants include powerful singer/songwriters Andrina Turenne and Kelly Bado. Rame will share the performances, recorded in early October at Le Garage, with a network of industry partners, music companies, and professionals, including international reps able to attend the online event. 

Rame focuses on business and industry development for music entrepreneurs through industry showcases and one-on-one mentor meetings. Supported by Musicaction, the project offers participants an opportunity to build important music business contacts and increase their reach into key Francophone markets.

The Francophone Music Program exists to deliver compelling and relevant programs to music entrepreneurs to strengthen business capacity and generate opportunities for export, and is made possible through the support of Western Economic Diversification Canada.

Founded in Montreal in 1987, Coup de coeur francophone is a festival dedicated to the discovery of new artists and promoting songs in a wide range of styles. Presented every November in Montreal as well as in more than 45 other Canadian cities, it brings together national and international performers in a program line-up that features up-and-coming, bold and creative artists.
