Indigenous Music Collaborates with Reclaim Your Power for Social Media Campaign to Celebrate Indigenous Musicians

Indigenous Music is launching a special collaboration with Mohawk woman owned clothing company Reclaim Your Power for a social media campaign to amplify and inspire Indigenous music makers and industry.

Running across the Reclaim Your Power and Indigenous Music Instagram and Facebook platforms August 27 through September 2, the campaign aims to encourage folks from coast to coast to coast to share what makes them strong, resilient, and Indigenous through personal storytelling, promoting music, and community-building.

Throughout the week, Reclaim Your Power and Indigenous Music will share posts tagged #IndigenousMusic through their channels, including special posts from artists showcasing limited edition t-shirts from Reclaim Your Power.

“I’m so excited for the launch of the #IndigenousMusic campaign that includes folks from all over Turtle Island,” says Ila Barker, who has been coordinating the project with the Indigenous Music Development Program at Manitoba Music. “It’s an honour to be helping out with this project and I can’t wait to celebrate Indigenous art, industry, and excellence alongside all of these incredible artists and industry folks!”
