We are pausing today and tomorrow to reflect on the principles, values, and action of inclusivity, anti-oppression, and anti-racism.
The injustice of violence against Black and Indigenous Peoples is the catalyst, but we recognize that we should not need a reminder. Anti-oppression work is urgent and must be in the forefront every day as a lens through which we review our programs, policies, and practices.
We are listening and learning. We are committed to equity. We have a lot of work to do to address the bias and privilege within our organization, our community, and our sector, and to be part of meaningful systemic change. We are committed to doing the work to educate ourselves and taking action.
