Aboriginal artists at BreakOut West
Leonard Sumner, Don Amero, and Marijosée are three of the seven Aboriginal artists set to showcase at BreakOut West in Calgary this weekend. The showcases run Ocotber 3 to 6 and they provide each artist with an opportunity to connect with industry leaders attending the annual conference or music award show.

Don Amero, Tracy Bone, Burnt-Project 1, Donny Parenteau, and George Leach are the Aboriginal Recording of the Year nominees for the 2013 Western Canadian Music Awards.
Métis songwriter and musician Marie-Josée Dandeneau is also attending BreakOut West. Dandeneau's band Oh My Darling is nominated in the Francophone Album of the Year category and she'll be performing with JP Hoe at The Gala Award Show, which is set for the Flames Central in Calgary on Sunday, October 6.
