FACTOR Approvals for Aboriginal Artists & Industry – November 2010

The Metis Fiddle Quartet, Shane Koyczan, and Colette Trudeau are the latest group of Aboriginal artists to receive support from the Foundation Assisting Canadian Talent on Recordings (FACTOR) for their upcoming projects.

FACTOR has invested in projects for 12 Aboriginal artists, three organizations, and one record label this year for a total contribution of $207,127. This is great support and there are a number of upcoming deadlines that Aboriginal artists and industry should take note of.

FACTOR is dedicated to providing assistance toward the growth and development of the Canadian independent recording industry. Support is available for recording demos, recording albums, touring, marketing, showcasing, delivering conferences, and a number of other music-related activities.
