Don Amero self-produced 11 songs and two bonus tracks for his fourth album Heart On My Sleeve. Most
of the recordings were produced at Don’s own studio in Winnipeg, with mixing and mastering taking
place by Allen Hunnie.

The album’s first single Turn These Grey Skies Blue was released to radio earlier this summer. It
became the third most downloaded song on DMDS.com the day it came out, after being listened to and
downloaded by Canadian radio programmers from coast-to-coast. Don co-wrote the song with well-
known Nashville songwriter Kris Burgsness during a trip to Nashville last year.

Don’s favourite song on the album – and the one he is most proud of – is Young Forever. He was
inspired to write it during a flight from Montreal to Moncton, after reading a short story in Air Canada’s
magazine that got him thinking about what it means to stay young at heart. He wrote the song while
on tour in PEI, spending ten hours over two days painstakingly crafting the meaningful words and
memorable melody.

Love Will Find A Way is probably the most personal song on the album. Don wrote it for his
brother and sister-in-law after they lost their baby. Since Don isn’t one to express his feelings though
conversation, he wrote the song as a way to show his support for what they were going through.

The album will be available mid September and will bring Don right across the country on his coast to coast Heart On My Sleeve tour. Stay tuned.
