On Friday, April 9th, celebrated widely as "Vimy Ridge Day" Veterans Affairs Canada will host the "End of An Era" Ceremony at the Canadian War Memorial in Ottawa. This ceremony is in honour of all of Canada's WWI fallen and veterans, organized after the passing of John "Jack" Babcock, Canada's last known living WWI veteran at the age of 109.

Sierra Noble has been given what she calls "the incredible honour" of being asked to play her solo fiddle piece "The Warriors Lament" during the ceremony in Ottawa.
She also performed this piece at the Vimy Ridge Memorial in 2007 for the 90th Anniversary of Vimy Ridge.

The Ceremony will have live coverage on CBC this Friday, April 9th, 11AM EST.

There will also be a local Winnipeg ceremony this Friday at 10:45am taking place at Vimy Ridge Memorial Park on Portage Ave.
