So where did February go?? It seems like only yesterday that little groundhog was looking for its shadow, and now spring is right around the corner! Okay, ALMOST right around the corner… For those of you who enjoy the winter outdoors and happen to be in Winnipeg, be sure to get outside for one last skate on the River Trail. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, and the 6km trail is in top shape for its final weekend. Hope to see you on the ice!

For now, though, let’s get back to business. We’re always happy to share new from our clients, so here is the latest from some of them…

FILM & TELEVISION

The second season of Cashing In premieres on APTN on Tuesday March 2. You can watch this original television series, produced by Animiki See Digital Productions and Buffalo Gal Pictures, Tuesday evenings at 8:00pm ET on APTN East; and 8:00pm MT on APTN West. Episodes repeat on Fridays at the same times. www.cashingintv.com

Keep Your Head Up Kid: The Don Cherry Story debuts on CBC Television March 28 and 29, 2010. The four-hour mini-series is co-produced by Frantic Films, E1 Entertainment, and 5 for Fighting. It stars Jared Keeso as Don Cherry and Sarah Manninen as Rose Cherry. www.franticfilms.com

ACHIEVING EXCELLENCE

Podium First Consulting is a new Canadian business run by three partners who collectively have 22 international gold medals – including Olympic gold in Beijing. They know what it takes to achieve excellence, and have started a company to work with others who are striving for their own goals. Whether athletes and sport groups are seeking high performance outcomes, elite competition, or amateur sport for life, the essentials of excellence remain the same. These essentials can also be applied to the boardroom, so they’ve developed a corporate program, too. www.podiumfirst.ca

And speaking of Olympics… for those of you who can’t get enough Olympic competition, it’s going to be a great final weekend – starting with the curling semi-finals today, featuring both of Canada’s teams. (The Canadian women are currently winning over Switzerland!) Don’t know about you, but I just can’t get enough of watching curling. And what about those new snow-cross races?? Absolutely craaaazy! Just can’t look away…

PROCRASTINATION TIP-OF-THE-MONTH!

Wasn’t there something important you were supposed to do today?? Ahhhh, right! That stuff from yesterday! But since today is already half over, there’s no point changing your work focus and messing things all up. So for today, you might as well put off til tomorrow what you were supposed to do yesterday…

Have a good one!
