About
Powwows are a celebration of Indigenous traditions, families, and culture. They are a time to laugh, dance, sing, and visit friends. Powwows bring together the young and old and feature dancing, singing, giveaways, contests, and great food. They are a staple within some Indigenous communities on Turtle Island.
To celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day on Sunday June 21, the WAG in partnership with Indigenous Music, is excited to host a Virtual Powwow that adheres to the physical distancing guidelines defined by the province of Manitoba.
