Manitoba Music Welcomes New Professional Development Coordinator, Elise Roller

Manitoba Music is pleased to welcome its newest staff member, Elise Roller, in the role of professional development coordinator. 

"Elise brings great music industry experience both from a music company perspective and that of an independent musician. She's deeply dedicated to helping the local scene grow and helping artists succeed. Her practical knowledge, connection to the community, and relationships in the international industry will be a great value to Manitoba’s music industry. We're excited to welcome her to the team," says Sean McManus, executive director of Manitoba Music.

Roller has been actively involved in the Canadian music scene for nearly a decade,first beginning in Alberta with her solo project, then joining touring rock outfit Go For The Eyes. From Calgary, she began interning remotely for Pipe & Hat Music Group in 2013, which ultimately led to her move to Manitoba in 2015. While contributing to the development of PHMG’s entire roster, Roller headed artist and community development branch, Flint/Fire, managing Victoria’s psych-rock band Fever Feel, and programming Pride Winnipeg’s festival main stage. For the past six years, Roller has booked and tour managed a number of Canadian acts. In addition to her industry experience, she can be seen tearing up the stage as the front person of heavy metal grunge band, Solhounds.

“Two years ago I moved to Manitoba because I was drawn to its thriving music culture,” says Roller. “It is my great pleasure to join the team and to play a part in developing the careers of our province’s artists and entrepreneurs. I’m excited to connect with our community in a new way.”

Manitoba Music's Professional Development Program provides industry knowledge and skills development for emerging and established artists and music industry professionals. Manitoba Music teams up with music industry experts to provide informative professional development seminars for the music industry. The program is a leading source of information and training for musicians and music industry in Manitoba. In addition, Manitoba Music maintains a Music Industry Resource Centre and offers career consultations for members.
