Manitoba Music is looking for someone to join our team as Professional Development Coordinator. This position is responsible for creating and delivering Manitoba Music’s professional development programming for artist entrepreneurs and music companies, including our workshop series, career consults, industry resources, and outreach initiatives.
As Professional Development Coordinator, you will work with an advisory committee to develop and deliver programming to meet the professional development needs of our membership. You will have a thorough understanding of the changing nature of the music business and the tools and contacts to help artists and companies do efficient and productive work in the industry. You understand the issues facing artists and music companies in Manitoba, and are passionate about supporting the work of our music community. You will provide career consults for members and be a resource to the Manitoba music industry in music business skills and industry best practices and provide outreach to youth, underrepresented groups and genres, and other communities.
You are an excellent event planner and administrator who can manage information and prepare plans, timelines, budgets, and reports, using Microsoft Excel and other tools. You will evaluate and analyze our programming, compile results data and success stories, and assist in reporting on the program to funders and partners. You can effectively write and prepare marketing material and shareable resources, using Microsoft Word,standard web editors, and social media.
Manitoba Music is a not-for-profit, member-based industry association with a mandate to help Manitoba’s music community reach its fullest potential. We represents over 750 members in all facets of the music industry, including artists, creatives, and companies.
