Showcase Opportunity: Manitoba Aboriginal Artists – Winnipeg Showcase | Deadline: June 26

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: 4pm, Wednesday, June 26, 2013

Manitoba Music’s Aboriginal Music Program will be presenting showcases in Winnipeg for guest speakers from our upcoming Aboriginal Music Summit (September 20, 2013). Delegate details will be available shortly at manitobamusic.com/workshops. This showcase offers Aboriginal artists and groups a unique opportunity to perform for and network with influential music industry professionals from outside Manitoba.

We welcome submissions from Aboriginal artists of all genres. Preference will be given to artists who perform original music, have professional support materials (website, photos, music video), and a demonstrated track record (recent awards, recent chart positions, recent tours).

To be considered for a showcase, you must:

• Have a current release (demo / EP / full-length)
• Be available to perform on September 20, 2013 in Winnipeg
• Be a Manitoba Music member and a current resident of Manitoba

Submit by email to alan@manitobamusic.com the following:

• “Manitoba Aboriginal Artists, Winnipeg Showcase” in the subject line
• A link to your aboriginalmusic.ca profile (updated with current music, bio, etc)
• A link to your website
• Current high resolution (300 dpi) image or link to where one can be downloaded
• A link to your most recent music video on Youtube or Vimeo
• A list of any recent awards, chart positions, and/or tour routes
• Rationale for how this showcase fits into your overall career plans, and what you would do to make the most of the opportunity (maximum 500 words)

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

• Music
• Quality of support materials (website, photos, music video)
• Track Record
• Rationale
