Artists/Musicians Needed

NCI-FM, Manitoba’s Aboriginal Radio Network is coordinating free concerts, one at each hotel for the evacuees of the South Indian Lake forest fires. Evacuees are staying in five Winnipeg Hotels, Ramada Marlborough, Place Louis Riel, Club Regent Hotel, and the Canad Inn Polo Park, and the Viscount Gort.

NCI-FM is requesting Aboriginal Singers/Musicians to donate their time to entertain the elders, and families of South Indian Lake on the afternoon of Thursday July 26th,or Friday, July 27th. The music sets would be 20 –30 minutes in length, acoustic based, with a small P.A. system. For artists donating their time to this event, on-air mentions. Acknowledgements will be made.

Refreshments

NCI-FM is also requesting donations of bottled water/refreshments for each hotel volunteer table. The bottled water/refreshments will be available, free to South Indian Lake evacuees. For companies donating product or cash, on-air mentions, acknowledgements, will be made on NCI-FM.
